📽️ Urban Film Festival Back in Miami
The Urban Film Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary this year with a brand-new home at Silverspot Cinema. From August 29–31, enjoy three days of film screenings, workshops, and industry discussions — all free and open to the public.
For the past decade, the festival has elevated fresh voices in cinema, spotlighting culturally diverse storytelling and emerging talent. This year continues that tradition, inviting audiences to connect with films that capture the richness of different communities.
🟠 Orange Blossom Classic At Hard Rock Stadium
Hard Rock Stadium
The 51st Orange Blossom Classic (OBC) is back this Labor Day Weekend, bringing HBCU pride and tradition to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. On Saturday, August 30, the Florida A&M Rattlers (FAMU) face off against the Howard University Bison in a matchup that promises excitement both on and off the field.

Amazonico Miami
2 new restaurants we are keeping an eye out for beginning of September. Everyone knows that Brickell has no shortage of new and glamorous restaurants. Amazónico Miami is the newest on the scene. This celebrated rainforest-themed restaurant, known for its immersive Amazon-inspired décor and Latin American fusion menu, will open its first U.S. flagship at 800 Brickell Avenue in late September 2025. This should be an exciting place for all Miami residents and tourists alike to enjoy.
One of New York’s most iconic pizzerias, Prince Street Pizza, is bringing its legendary pies to Miami. The famed spot, known for its crispy, thick-crust Sicilian slices is opening a brand-new outpost on Lincoln Road in South Beach. We don’t have a confirmed timeline of when it will be open, hopefully sometime in late September or early October.
⛈️ Miami Weather
🌤️ Miami weather in late August is wet, hot, and humid. The temperatures in Miami during August are extremely high, between 82°F and hot as 92°F, drinking water regularly is advisable. There’s going to be many days of rain and Hurricanes are possible this week.
